Initial problem
I wanted to use different AI models in one place, switch between providers, and organize chats around my own projects. That led me to build a workspace with a consistent interface and reliable streaming, including after a connection drops.
Implementation
I built WorkFuse with a Next.js frontend, Go backend services, and PostgreSQL. I integrated models from OpenAI, Anthropic, and Google, along with image generation, chat sharing, and workspaces. The backend supported persistent streaming with reconnect and synced updates across devices via WebSocket. I also implemented subscription billing with Stripe. I am not actively using WorkFuse at the moment, so I have taken the hosted app offline.
