HeinzerIT Cockpit

Operations and customer self-service in one workspace.

Role

Full-Stack Developer · Product Development

Period

2026 to Present

Technical frame

React / TypeScript

Initial problem

Customer and operational data lived in Bexio and Atera and had to be maintained separately in both systems. This created duplicate work, inconsistent data, and repeated follow-up questions. Customers also had no direct overview of their contracts, invoices, devices, or reports and had to request this information from the team each time.

Implementation

I conceived and built the cockpit from the ground up, including its product structure, login, tenant isolation, roles and permissions, and the internal and customer-facing workspaces. A React and TypeScript frontend and a Go and PostgreSQL API provide one place for the team to manage customers, products, contracts, invoices, devices, reports, and reconciliations, while customers receive direct access to their own information. Bexio and Atera synchronization, WorkOS authentication, audit logs, background jobs, and permission-scoped AI assistants connect the workflows end to end.

Outcome

  • Combines operational customer work and customer self-service in one permission-aware platform
  • Reduces manual cross-system work through scheduled synchronization and explicit reconciliation
  • Keeps internal and customer data access separated by organization, role, and permission
  • Answers operational questions about customers, devices, billing, reports, and audit data through a permission-scoped AI assistant

My contribution

  • Designed and implemented the React frontend, Go API, and PostgreSQL data model
  • Built internal operations, customer self-service, onboarding, billing, device, and report workflows
  • Integrated WorkOS, Bexio, Atera, R2 storage, audit logging, background jobs, and AI assistants

Impact

  • Combines operational customer work and customer self-service in one permission-aware platform
  • Reduces manual cross-system work through scheduled synchronization and explicit reconciliation
  • Keeps internal and customer data access separated by organization, role, and permission
  • Answers operational questions about customers, devices, billing, reports, and audit data through a permission-scoped AI assistant

Verifiable outcomes

Concrete signals instead of broad claims.

Published products, measurements, and before-and-after comparisons make the impact tangible.

Initial bundle

123 → 55 KB

Code splitting and lazy loading reduced the gzip-compressed initial bundle by more than half.

Customer detail

5 → 1 request

Customer, members, contacts, onboarding, and team data now load through one aggregated endpoint.

Published access

2 workspaces

One login routes users to either internal operations or the customer workspace based on permissions.

What mattered

01

Separate internal operations and customer self-service workspaces

02

Customer, product, contract, invoice, device, and report workflows in one system

03

Bexio and Atera synchronization with explicit reconciliation and conflict states

04

WorkOS-based authentication, organization isolation, roles, and permissions

05

Audited background jobs for imports, synchronization, and recurring billing

06

Permission-scoped AI assistants for internal staff and customers
